Pujya Swami Chidanand
Saraswatiji is the founder and chairman of India Heritage Research
Foundation, a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to humanitarian
and cultural projects. Founded in 1987, IHRF is committed to preserving
the timeless wisdom and ageless grandeur of Indian culture. By weaving
together ancient tradition, cultural history, a wide range of non-discriminatory
charitable services, and inspiring youth programs, IHRF has created
a tapestry of true, universal beauty.
IHRF is dedicated
to youth welfare, education, health care, ecology, culture, inter-faith
harmony and publications.
To this end, the
Foundation runs and sponsors free schools, women’s vocational training
programs, a gurukul/orphanage, ecological programs and a variety
of other noble activities which embrace all of humanity.

bringing forth the first Encyclopedia of Hinduism in history. This
18 volume work is nearing completion and will be a true compendium

Parmarth
Niketan Ashram
H.H. Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji is president of Parmarth Niketan
Ashram in Rishikesh, India, a true, spiritual haven, lying on the
holy banks of Mother Ganga, in the lap of the lush Himalayas.
Parmarth Niketan is the largest ashram in Rishikesh. Parmarth Niketan
provides its thousands of pilgrims – who come from all corners of
the Earth – with a clean, pure and sacred atmosphere as well as
abundant, beautiful gardens. With over 1000 rooms, the facilities
are a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional, spiritual
simplicity.
The daily activities at Parmarth Niketan include morning universal

Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji
H.H. Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji’s motto in life is, “In the Service
of God and humanity.” He left his home at 8 years old, under the
guidance of his spiritual master, in order to live a life devoted
to God and to the service of humanity. Pujya Swamiji spent nine
years in meditation, yoga, seclusion and silence in the Himalayas,
bringing his body, mind and soul into union with the Divine. Today,
he is world renowned as a spiritual leader, visionary and divine
guide.

Pujya Swamiji is President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan
Ashram, Rishikesh, India of the largest spiritual institutions in
India. Under his divine inspiration and guidance, Parmarth Niketan

Pujya Swamiji’s religion is unity, and he has been a leader in
numerous international, inter-faith conferences and parliaments,
including the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago in
1993, the Parliament of World Religions in Capetown, South
Africa in 1999, the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious
and Spiritual Leaders at the United Nations in 2000, the World
Council of Religious Leaders at the United Nations in Bangkok
in 2002. He was also invited as a special Guest Spiritual Leader,
to the 2002 World Economic Forum in New York, to bring spiritual
understanding and broader vision to the gathering of top business,
social and political leaders. He is also a leader of frequent Dharma
Yatras across America, Canada and Europe on behalf of Youth, Unity
and Education.
Pujya Swamiji is the recipient of innumerable awards, including
the Mahatma Gandhi Humanitarian award, Hindu of the Year Award,
Devarishi Award, Bhaskar Award, Prominent Personality Award, by
Lions’ Club, Best Citizens of India Award, and the Diwaliben Mohanlal
Mehta Trust Award for Progress in Religion.
However, Pujya Swamiji seems unaffected by this incredible list
of accomplishments and remains a pious child of God, owning nothing,
draped in saffron robes, living a life of true renunciation. His
days in Rishikesh are spent offering service to those around him.
Thousands travel from across the globe simply to sit in his presence,
to receive his "darshan." |
